The company "I.E.M. Industria Estrattiva Marmi", began as a sole proprietorship in 1956, founded by Severo Trotti.
Initially held only mining, which owns quarries of Botticino and Breccia Oniciata.
In 1967 was built the first plant, in Nuvolera, between Brescia and Lake of Garda , equipped with single blade machine for the sawing of marble blocks. In the following years is enhanced industrial activity, with the installation of multiblade block sawing machines for sawing granite and marble blocks and polishing machines for manufacturing granite and marble slabs surface.
In 1994 the company assumed the current name of "I.E.M. Srl". Even from the early 80s the range of materials is considerable enlarged first with the introduction of foreign granite and later of marble, stone, limestone and each quartzite of origin. Research and selection of materials dealing personally son, Diego Trotti, meanwhile came to be the lead company alongside his father.
Currently, the entire complex covers an area of about 20,000 square meters of which over 5,000 square meters built.
